Recovery doesn't end at discharge. Neither do we.
Our on-site fitness studio is run by the same clinicians who treat you. Every program is therapist-designed, every session is supervised, and every exercise is scaled to what your body can safely do today. This is how the strength you built in rehabilitation becomes permanent.
Open to the whole community — you do not need to be a physiotherapy patient to join.
Most people lose their rehabilitation gains within a year
Physiotherapy works. Then it stops — because the exercises that rebuilt your strength are quietly dropped once sessions end, and the problem gradually returns. It is the single most predictable failure in musculoskeletal care, and it is almost entirely preventable.
Nexus Fitness exists to close that gap. The clinician who rehabilitated you writes your program. The person coaching you has read your clinical notes. And because it happens in the same building as your physiotherapy, there is no handover that gets lost.

Six ways to keep moving
Find the program that matches where you are right now. If you aren't sure, the free movement screen will tell us.
One-to-One Exercise Therapy
Private, therapist-led sessions for people whose rehabilitation needs do not fit a group format — significant neurological impairment, recent surgery, or a very particular performance goal.
- Fully private 45-minute sessions
- Program redesigned every 4 weeks
- Ideal after major surgery or neurological event
- Direct clinician feedback on every rep
Small Group Training
Groups of no more than six, sorted by ability rather than age, so every exercise is coached and corrected. This is where most of our patients go after discharge — and where the gains hold.
- Maximum six participants per class
- Ability-matched group placement
- Twice weekly, 45 minutes
- Therapist supervises every session
Athletic Performance
Strength, power, speed and change-of-direction conditioning built on the same testing framework we use for return-to-sport. Suitable for teams, individual athletes and serious amateurs.
- Strength and power periodisation
- Speed, agility and plyometric work
- Injury-risk screening included
- Team and club packages available
Workplace Wellness
Injury-prevention screening and conditioning delivered on site or in our studio. A practical way for employers to reduce musculoskeletal claims and keep experienced staff working.
- On-site or in-studio delivery
- Manual handling and ergonomic training
- Movement screening for at-risk roles
- Reporting for health and safety records
Chronic Condition Programs
Supervised, paced exercise programs for people living with arthritis, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease or persistent pain — where the right dose of exercise is genuinely medicine.
- Clinically monitored exercise dosing
- Condition-specific program design
- Vitals and capacity tracked over time
- Liaison with your GP or specialist
Mature Adults 60+
Gentle but genuinely effective strength and balance work designed around the two things that most affect independence later in life: leg strength and the confidence to trust your own balance.
- Falls risk assessment on entry
- Seated and supported options available
- Balance, grip and leg strength focus
- Social, welcoming group environment
Four steps to a stronger you
Free movement screen
A 30-minute screening session with a clinician before you join anything. We measure how you move, what is restricted, and what your current capacity actually is.
A program matched to you
You are placed in the program — and the group within it — that fits your capacity, not the other way around. Every exercise is scaled from there.
Coached, corrected, progressed
Every session is supervised by a clinician or exercise physiologist. When you can do something well, it gets harder. That is the entire method.
Re-tested every 12 weeks
We repeat the measurements from your screen so you can see the improvement in numbers, not just in how you feel.
Do I need a referral?
No. Fitness program membership is open to anyone, whether or not you have been a physiotherapy patient with us.
What if I'm very deconditioned?
That is exactly who our programs are built for. Every exercise is scaled to your starting capacity, and we can begin seated or supported.
Can I claim this on insurance?
Exercises prescribed as part of an active physiotherapy plan of care may be claimable. Ask us and we will confirm what your policy covers.
Is there a contract?
No long-term lock-in. Programs run in 12-week blocks, and you can stop at the end of any block.
Start with a free movement screen
Thirty minutes with a clinician, no obligation, and a clear recommendation about which program fits you. That's how every membership begins.
